CONGRATULATIONS
25th May 2009 Well done to the Under 16 football team who have won the Scottish Shield. They defeated St Ambrose High of Coatbridge 2 - 1 in an exciting encounter at NEW Brockville in Falkirk.
They become only the seventh team in the history of the competition to win the shield at both under fifteen and sixteen levels. A terrific achievement by an exceptional group of players. Well done to all involved.
DEBATING
29th May 2009 Congratulations to Shane Wallace and Dominic Koyroytsaltis McQuire who were runners-up in yesterday's Crichton Challenge Deabte, narrowly losing to St. Joseph's College in the final. It was a fantastic performance from the boys, who have had very little experience of competitive debating. Read more here >>
NUFFIELD BURSARY

This will supply funding for Laura to study with Dumfries Royal Infirmary over the summer holidays. Well done!
Welcome to Dumfries Academy. The Academy has a rich and distinguished history tracing its roots back to 1330 when John of Greyfriars set up a school in the town. Today it provides an excellent education for young people from Dumfries Burgh and the surrounding area.
