We have established our first Parent Council which came into existence in August 2007. We are all very optimistic that the Council will build upon the work done by the School Board and the Parents’ and Friends’ Association to encourage even closer links between our school and parents. We are all engaged in trying to provide the best education possible for our young people and the more effectively we work together the more they benefit.
The Parent Council has four main areas of responsibility:
The Council has the right to ask for information/advice about matters which affect children’s education and to be involved in the recruitment and appointment of senior promoted staff.
Please remember that all parents/guardians are members of the Parent Forum which selects the Parent Council. All members of the Parent Forum are welcome to attend Parent Council meetings which take place once a month. (Times and dates will be published on the school website).
